THE PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
Margaret Gillett is a physiotherapist with over 20 yrs experience. Her areas of special interest include Ergonomics and Incontinence. She has extensive exp in workplace ergonomic assessments, real-time ultrasound assessment of core muscles, pelvic floor, hip, shoulder, knee and elbow; bobath techniques as it relates to retraining improved movement and posture; fit ball and pilates programs in the management of osteoarthritis. Her skills also include the kinesio taping technique used for its benefits in pain relief. She has had extensive experience in incontinence and womens and mens health.

Tim Robinson is an experienced physiotherapist who has been working in the industry since 1987. He has a special interest in sports medicine and has worked with a number of elite teams including the All Blacks, NZ Ski Team, Waikato Chiefs, Waikato NPC, Melville Soccer, and Wakatipu League team. He is also a PGA registered golf rehabilitation specialist with particular interest in biomechanics and injury specific strength training. His personal interests include triathlons/tennis/touch football and music.

David Kempthorne is qualifed in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Manipulative Therapy & Acupuncture for physiotherapy. David's interest areas are in the effective management and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly in relation to cervical spine headaches and dizziness. Other areas include mobilisation and exercise particularly involving lumbar spine, hips and knees in the more elderly patients.

Jen McKenzie is a physiotherapist with a double degree in Exercise prescription as well as pilates experience. She is skilled in comprehensive rehabilitation of work and sports injuries. Gemma also has experience and interests in Orthopaedics, manual therapy, trigger point therapy and chronic pain management.

Caroline Probert is a physiotherapist with a musculoskeletal and exercise rehab background. She has experience in arthritic conditions, orthopeadics, and with pilates, hydrotherapy, manual therapy and dry needling. She has a particular interest in lower limb conditions and sporting injuries.

Pilates Instructors: Nadine Kent, Su Bernays, Aleisha Wade & Kurt Higgins. Our instructors have internationally recognised qualifications. Whether your just wanting to get fit or enhance your sporting or dance careers our girls can help you. Age is no barrier. Equipment, Mat and Ball Classes available.

Yoga Instructor: Angela Hinz has internationally recognised qualifications. Yoga helps to develop strength and flexibility, although as well as creating these long, strong muscles. Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced classes available.

Massage Therapist/Bowen Therapist: Caroline Goodwin & Lisa Clancy. We have Massage available at both Cooroy and Woombye. They are all extensively trained in deep tissue, sports, lymphatic & remedial massage and is also trained in Bowen Therapy and reflexology.

Acupuncturist & Naturopath: Glyneth Blake. Acupuncture involves usually painless insertions of very fine, sterile, disposable stainless steel needles into the skin to correct imbalances in the body. Other traditional techniques including cupping and heat therapy are used as needed. Acupuncturists are probably most famous for treating back, neck and general body pain - and it's true, we can achieve fantastic results with pain management. I have a number of special interest areas which include insomnia and stess-related disorders, digestive problems, endocrine diseases and fertility support.

WorkCover, Insurance and Veterans’ Affairs patients are responsible for payment of their accounts should liability be denied. Bulk Billing is now available for Enhanced Primary Care patients, for more information see your doctor if you are eligible.

CANCELLATIONS
Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Failure to cancel an appointment may mean that a person in pain cannot receive treatment. A cancellation fee may be charged for broken appointments unless suitable notice is given.


REFERRALS
Please bring any referral letter or relevant x-rays to your first appointment. It is not essential to have a referral from a doctor to attend physiotherapy, unless you are claiming WorkCover, Veterans’ Affairs or Enhanced Primary Care payments. Major health funds do not require a referral for rebates.
We do work closely with general practitioners, specialists and other health professionals. In some cases, we may advise you to consult your local doctor or another health professional if your condition requires it.

Should you have a complaint, please tell us immediately, so that we are aware of any problem. Appropriate steps can then be taken to remedy the situation and avoid its repetition.
