Jill uses functional nutrition, from ‘chew to poo’, to empower you to take control of your own health. Focusing on real food, locally-grown where possible, that suits your body’s individual nutritional and lifestyle needs.
The only Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) in Southern Tasmania. In addition to Jill's holistic FNTP qualification, she also has BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and a member of the International Institute for Complimentary Therapy (IICT).
Jill enjoys meeting new people, listening to their health journeys and believes in helping people manage their own health at their pace. She has a Scottish accent (despite over 20 years in Tasmania) and a warm, optimistic attitude that helps to make you more relaxed.
Jill evaluates the systems in your body, not just what you put in your mouth. You can eat the very best foods, but if you cannot digest them they are a waste of time and money and will not result in the health you would expect.
Jill is trained to work alongside licenced practitioners and to support your doctor’s diagnosis and other therapists.
Nutritional Therapy means listening to your entire body and mind, not simply what you are eating. The intention is to determine what will nourish your body and assist you on your personal health journey. As a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) Jill can identify organ systems under stress and then prioritise support accordingly using the Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA), a non-invasive evaluation process. Your body’s innate immune system is always trying to communicate with you (that gut instinct or hunch) but you may never have been taught how to understand these signals. The FCA gives you the ability to communicate directly with what your body needs.
