Meditation

Through the practising of meditation a woman is able to learn to choose to create a state of consciousness that is associated with a quicker and less painful birth and labour. Women who meditate in pregnancy have reported easy birth experiences, often ecstatic and painless. When birth is approached from a place of trust and inner calm, it can unfold in its natural way and be a positive initiation to motherhood.

Meditation assists in the preparation for birth, healing post birth and the restoration of depleted energy reserves as you transition through into motherhood. This deeply restorative guided meditation practice provides you with the ability to recharge, relax and rejuvenate. By learning how to turn off over and excessive thinking and worry is the key to getting deep restful sleep.

Yoga Nidra is conducted whilst lying down and it is one of the most popular forms of yoga meditation techniques as it brings about a deep state of rest and calm.  It is enjoyable, effortless, recuperative and soothing.

What is mindfulness and mindful mothering?

​Mindfulness involves paying attention to each event that is experienced in the present moment within our mind and body, with a non-reactive, non-judgemental, and accepting attitude. Mindful mothering can help us better support our children without aversion, resistance, unhealthy attachment or anger.

Mindfulness goes further than simply being present in the moment. It also focuses on how we process information in our everyday lives, how we can be more aware of the mechanism of thinking, reacting and feeling and re-establishing a sense of control in the way we conduct our lives.
