Shiatsu is a relaxing and strengthening body therapy developed in Japan. It uses traditional oriental diagnosis and supportive acupressure to balance the pathways of the body. Working along the meridians (energy pathways) and acupressure points in the body it is possible to rebalance the energy, releasing blockages and stagnation. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing, uplifting, and harmonizing massage.
A treatment involves the client wearing comfortable clothes or a Japanese kimono and laying on a futon on the floor. Zen Shiatsu Massage can also include nutritional guidance and corrective exercise depending on the client's needs.
