A little about me
Shocked by a diagnosis of a terminal illness in 2008 I sought out a deeper meaning to life and stumbled across Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. At the time of my diagnosis I was practicing Hatha Yoga and felt I needed something different, so led by a friend of mine raving about Kundalini Yoga I began a 3 week trial.
Ive never looked back. The year after attending weekly classes I enrolled into the Teacher Training Program in Melbourne with the intention of deepening my own practice and helping my body and mind heal from the illness, as I do not plan on becoming an addition to the rather dire statistics (Globally only 3% survive more than 18 months from a Grade IV GBM) the terminal brain tumor I had is dubbed the terminator. So far so good, Im now considered a long-term survivor. I decided to teach as my personal growth and health is testament to the power of Kundalini Yoga and its too good not to share, everyone should get to experience this yoga. Its phenomenal, the world would be a better place if more people had the privilege of learning this yoga style.
I teach in an attentive yet relaxed manner and give each individual attention by keeping classes small (6-12 maximum). My aim in sharing the yoga is to help all who come to me to grow and expand to become the best they can be (as is the aim of Kundalini Yoga).
I have great faith in the science that is Kundalini Yoga and believe anyone can benefit with an honest approach. In Kundalini Yoga we do not initiate anyone, each person needs to initiate him or herself - you need to take the first step to come before your own consciousness no matter what condition your mind or emotions are in.
