Welcome to Livewire Health and Nutrition

Our food philosophy is to eat a variety of fresh wholefoods, so that you regain your health and vitality. Nutritional programs are customised to help you achieve your health goals and are suitable for the whole family. We don’t believe in fads, fiddly recipes or quick fixes. We support you to achieve the healthy outcomes you deserve.

About Us

Food is my passion and as a huge part of our lives, should be something to celebrate, share and enjoy.

My name is Kylie Pinwill and I am an experienced clinical nutritionist with an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine.

As a Mum of three busy kids, I know first hand the challenges of getting dinner on the table each night, of filling lunchboxes and tempting fussy eaters, while catering for the specific dietary needs of a family member.

As a nutritionist, I advocate a holistic approach to health and lifestyle choices, ideally using food as medicine. Food is my passion and as a huge part of our lives, should be something to celebrate, share and enjoy. Unfortunately some of us have got lost along the way and are struggling with digestion, fatigue, hormone disruption, weight challenges, blood sugar imbalances and the list goes on.

Food should nourish and nurture both the body and soul. Meals should be prepared, shared and enjoyed with family and friends. I love nothing more than working with people to implement practical ideas to improve not only your own health, but that of the whole family. By instilling healthy habits in your home, amazing results will follow.

How can we help you?

Weight Loss or Health Gain

Achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight is crucial for reducing the risk of common chronic diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis and some cancers. Balanced nutrition, regular exercise and stress management can actually save your life. Rather than embarking on yet another weight loss journey, think about the health you have to gain.

Chronic Disease

Chronic diseases are the leading cause of illness, disability and death in Australia.

Chronic disease does not happen overnight. Often a build up of 10-20 years of poor life style choices can trigger symptoms, which then leads to a diagnosis. Even small changes to ensure you are getting the daily nutrition you need, can greatly improve the outcome of chronic disease and have a huge impact on your future health.

Women’s Health

Almost all women are affected by hormone imbalances at some point in their life. PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, fertility difficulties, pregnancy and menopause can all be challenging. When supported with the correct nutrients, you can alleviate some symptoms and you will feel better.

Digestive Disorders

Bloating, flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea can all cause discomfort and impact your life. Exploring what foods are best for you to relieve embarrassing and painful symptoms so that you can get on with life are all part of an individual nutrition plan.

Cardio Vascular Disease

Cardio vascular disease is a leading cause of death in Australia. A silent disease, often without symptoms until a potentially devastating event occurs. Many risk factors for CVD including elevated cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, smoking, obesity, physical inactivity and stress can be greatly reduced with changes to your diet and lifestyle.

Diabetes and Insulin Resistance

Diabetes is the fastest growing chronic condition in Australia. Currently about 1.7million Australians are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and it is estimated that up to 1 million cases are silent, or undiagnosed. Insulin resistance, or being pre diabetic and Type 2 diabetes can be managed and even reversed with changes to your nutrition and lifestyle. We can support you to make the adjustments you need to live a healthier life.

Children’s Nutrition

Growing bodies and developing brains need the right balance of nutrition to thrive. Behaviourial challenges, fussy eating, food allergies and intolerances and digestive complaints can all be signs that the foods your children are eating may need some tweaking. We can help you overcome these challenges, so these little bodies are getting the right balance of nutrients they need.

Emotional Nutrition

Have you ever wondered where it is that you are going wrong?

Your nutrition is pretty good, you exercise regularly, but just when things seem to be on track, life happens and before you know it, your good work has come undone…

Perhaps it’s time to consider emotional nutrition. If you associate shame or guilt around your relationship with food, your health and your body, then it’s time we had a talk.

Nutritional Programs

We offer a variety of simple, fun and practical nutritional and health programs. Easy-to-follow guidelines that will boost your health. A mixture of personalised coaching as well as online programs are available.
