MOVE Osteopathy - Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been in continuous use for more than 2000 years and is beneficial in the treatment of a range of musculoskeletal and health conditions.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into the skin. It is considered to be a very safe and effective therapy and serious side effects are extremely rare.

Research has shown Acupuncture to be effective for:

  • aches and pains
  • pain management
  • headaches and migraine
  • anxiety and depression
  • stress and tension
  • fertility
  • hormonal imbalance
  • sleep disorders
  • fatigue and low energy
  • pain associated with pregnancy

Japanese Acupuncture is a highly refined style of Acupuncture. It was introduced to Japan in the Sixth century by a physician/monk named Chisu and was subsequently modified and refined into the Japanese style.

Japanese Acupuncture needles are thinner than the Chinese needles and it has a gentler approach, with extremely subtle and potent outcomes.

Japanese Acupuncture is effective for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, it is beneficial for the treatment of post viral diseases and chronic fatigue. It is ideal for children because needles are not necessarily required for them.

All of MOVE’s Acupuncturists have Bachelor level training, are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and are compliant with national registration. Our team all regularly undertake continuing professional development and education outside of our practice.
