Movement Collective is all about personal connection and creating a positive mindset through effective movement. Every instructor at Movement Collective is highly qualified and possesses a genuine passion for healthy movement.
Besides highly qualified instructors with Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications from the country’s best training organisations, they also complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education every two years to stay up-to-date on the latest developments.
There are instructors with specialties in Women’s Health Programs (pre and postnatal, Diastasis Recti Recovery, pelvic floor health and menopause), Buff Bones for osteoporosis, Pilates for back pain, and more.
Despite their commitment to teaching and technique, they also celebrate the freedom to trust their instincts and make classes enjoyable. Each student is treated as an individual with exercises tailored to their needs to support their mind and body.
They gear everything toward making students feel better; helping them become the best versions of themselves.
Each of their three Sydney studios (Broadway, Hunters Hill and Pymble) is fully equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and is staffed with talented instructors who will help you understand your body and define the new you.
Pilates combines physical and mental exercises to produce core strength, postural alignment, and mental balance.
Initially, you will enhance your posture and strengthen your core muscles, including the abdominals and mid-torso.
Your body can reach its optimum physique with regular Pilates instruction.
The focus of your initial consultation is you. As part of this process, your instructor will establish a clear understanding of your personal goals, learn about your movement history, and discover if you have suffered any past or current injuries.
It's a great opportunity to ask questions you may have and to learn what to expect in the future.
Following your initial session, you'll receive a personalised program that is safe and tailored to your goals and body. This can be very beneficial for both injuries and targeted results.
Studio sessions are typically held in small groups of up to four people, each working on a personalised program under the guidance of one instructor.
These sessions are suitable for those who are confident with their programs and who are comfortable working independently during their sessions.
Ask your instructor for advice if you are unsure if this session is for you.
Reformer and Matwork Classes
Designed for experienced Pilates enthusiasts, however, no prior experience is necessary for these foundation classes.
Classes are held in small groups of 6 participants, going through the same workout program.
If you are unsure about whether these classes are right for you, seek advice from the instructors. There is no initial consultation required.
Private studio sessions are 1:1 sessions where you are guided through the program with your instructor’s undivided attention.
New clients, those at high risk of injury, and those who wish to get the most from Pilates can benefit from these sessions.
Duet sessions can be arranged in the studio with a friend. Ask for more details in the studio.
If you can't make it to the studio, you can take a live online stream class from the comfort of your home.
All Movement Collective sessions require an appointment.
