Patricia Christies is very passionate about helping people find direction in their lives and recover from mental illness. Her career began in education, teaching VCE Psychology for a number of years and then moved to working in the education and training sector at Museum Victoria, where she has worked for over 15 years. She is currently researching ways museums can assist people in their recovery of mental illness. Patricia utilises her extensive experience in education and training to cater to individual learning styles in her counselling sessions when communicating to her clients and providing psychoeducation. She has completed a Graduate Diploma of Counselling with the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a course accredited by the reputable Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Anxiety Disorders Association of Victoria. She has worked with clients with anxiety, depression, addictions, self esteem issues and relationship conflict.

Talking to a trained, professional counsellor can help you learn how to deal with difficult situations more productively by helping you understand them from different perspectives and by understanding yourself at a deeper level, both emotionally and psychologically.
