Professional Integrative Medicine
Injectable Nutrient Clinic
Professional Integrative Medicine’s Injectable Nutrient Clinic is Adelaide’s longest continuously running injectable nutrients clinic.
In contrast to some ‘lifestyle’ or ‘cosmetic’ franchises, PIM is a medical clinic that provides therapeutic programs tailored to suit each individual according to their specific needs, as determined by a doctor.
Supplements such as Vitamin C, B Vitamins, Magnesium, Zinc and many others can be administered in order to assist with symptoms and support patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Why choose Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine is a patient-centred approach to medical practice that sees healthy vitality as a positive goal, rather than simply the absence of disease.
Instead of focusing on the disease, or isolated symptoms, integrative medicine shifts that focus to you, the patient, considering how your personal history, lifestyle and genetic factors can affect and influence your long-term wellbeing.
Practitioners of integrative medicine look beyond the immediate symptoms, seeking to understand the origins of complex, chronic disease. When the root causes are identified, prevention and treatment strategies can be devised.
How We Care
Our health care system is oriented towards acute care – diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses in need of immediate attention over a short time.
The number of people suffering from complex, chronic conditions – such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, mental illness, autoimmune disorders – has increased.
Physicians in the growing field of integrative medicine seek to assess the underlying factors in long-term and complex medical conditions. This offers you, the patient, greater knowledge and choice in the decisions that affect you most.
Dr Timothy Hall
Dr Hall is a medical doctor who trained at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. His experience includes emergency medicine, mental health, general medicine and surgery.
After graduating in medicine from Adelaide University in 2006 with prizes and first-class honours, Dr Hall completed his internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, including rural and emergency work in General Practice. Following this, he pursued work as a clinical investigator, involving educating and protecting the safety of patients in early phase clinical trials.
During his work he became increasingly aware of patients struggling with chronic illnesses, including fatigue syndromes, mental health battles, and digestive symptoms, whose health was not improving despite taking multiple medications for decades. It became a passion of his to thoroughly understand the biochemical pathways, metabolic processes and toxic influences that affect people’s health in unique ways, and to understand how to naturally support the body’s own capacity to heal.
He has undertaken post-graduate training with the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM). His enthusiasm and knowledge resulted in his election to the Executive Board of ACNEM in 2011, where he has previously served as college Vice President, and appointment to the ACNEM teaching faculty. He is also Medical Advisor for the Australasian Institute of Medical Nutrition.
Dr Hall’s goal is to support the recognition of nutritional and environmental medicine as an essential part of medical student training, and ultimately the introduction of evidence-based nutritional medicine into acute hospital care.
He believes “the best service I can offer patients is to present a range of therapeutic options with evidence. This places them in a strong position to be in control, and to make informed decisions about their health.”
