Kaz's story

When I look back over my whole adult life there are few times that I can say I was really happy with my weight and my body image……I was always the one hiding behind others in photos or begging just” take my photo from the shoulders up!”

Sound familiar?

In 1992 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This was the beginning of a roller coaster ride of health problems, trials and treatments. After many months of tests, operations and radio therapy. I was left with a body that didn’t work so well. My weight dropped to a low 57 kgs and then quickly ballooned to a staggering 83.9 kgs at my heaviest. I struggled with this weight….dieting to lose weight and then regaining the weight - to my horror, more each time.

Like everyone else there aren’t many diets/weight loss programs/pills/shakes or exercise regimes that I haven’t tried to overcome this.

When we first started to put this program together, I was excited to think that finally, after all these years, I might actually be able to lose weight and keep it off!

So I was our first guinea pig. I decided to give it a go and see where I ended up….let’s face it what did I have to lose?

Well what I had to lose was 19 kilos, but what I had to gain was so much more than a healthy weight….I gained a new lease on life, renewed energy, improved health and a thyroid that works after 20 years of conventional and some unconventional therapies. Not only do I feel so much better, my pathology has improved, returning to within normal range for all….even the thyroid that doctors told me would never happen!

The health benefits alone are amazing!!

I say what are you waiting for…….all you have to lose are those unwanted kilos, but better still you have so much more to gain!

Heather’s story

Hi, I am Heather and for many years now I have been struggling with my weight. I first started putting on weight after the children were born, but I was able to lose it without too much trouble (only to put it back on again).

After 10 years following a very stressful period, my health started to deteriorate and my weight crept back on only this time I was unable to lose it. I tried every weight loss plan available and no matter how strict I was, I could not lose the excess weight.

Then I came across Real Food, Real Weight Loss plan, this plan finally made sense to me, so I decided to give it a go. I am not a very tall person, less than 5 feet and I am in my early sixties. My BMI had me in the obese range and with all my health problems, menopause, diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure and more, it wasn’t looking good. I knew I had to do something. I decided to go for the 40 day fat burning plan and 40 day reset and repeating until I reach my goal weight.

Although I am only half way to my goal, I am so pleased with my 14 kg loss, but more importantly my health has improved drastically. I have gone from a size 16 in pants to a size 10. The positives of this weight loss plan are:

  2. I had zero cravings for sugary foods;
  3. It is easy to follow the plan;
  4. I never felt sorry for myself;
  5. My health has greatly improved – blood pressure is now normal, cholesterol is normal, diabetes (blood sugar) is almost back to a normal range;

  7. For once I felt in control and know for certain that I will be able to keep my weight off and not resort back to my old habits.

After 2 cycles on Real Food Real Weight Loss I am feeling a lot lighter and healthier with a bright future ahead and a very happy husband!

3 months ago I was very depressed with how I looked every time I looked in the mirror. On a recent holiday I was mortified to see how fat and wobbly I’d become and where once I would not have thought twice about going to the hotel pool, on this holiday I would only go if no one else was around, covered head to toe. I was exercising and eating practically and all that seemed to change was my weight was increasing!

A very good friend, after hearing my constant complaints regarding my weight told me about this new weight loss program that she had seen firsthand work for other people, who, like me had no luck with weight loss.

Initially it took a bit of organising and a lot of commitment but it was so worth it! Best of all my husband has a happier, healthier, thinner wife who can now wear a bikini and look “hot” (my husband’s words) with the flattest tummy I have had since I was 18! All with no tummy crunches.

Janie’s Story

The tender age of 14 saw me start my first diet, and I honestly can hardly recall a time since then when my life has not been controlled by the diet or gym industry - that is until August (2011).

I’m sure the following list with resonate with many other dieters ....... meal replacement bars, Israeli Army Diet, appetite control sprays, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers (6 attempts at that one), over-exercising, Reductil, Bodytrim, meal replacement drinks and even in sheer desperation liposuction (not proud of that one, but I was SO miserable). Of course some of these systems did give me results temporarily - but as always once I returned to ‘normal’ eating, it all came back on, plus a little more much to my despair.

My life was governed by the fat and thin wardrobe, and over the years the weight loss yo-yo meant that I got fatter and heavier each attempt I made to get back to my healthy weight range.

The last few years I had really begun to resign myself to the ‘inevitable’ middle age spread accompanied by the frustration of the ‘keg’ of fat that sat so uncomfortably around my rib cage and that no amount of sit ups, pilates and power walking would shift and that no amount of ‘clever dressing’ could disguise.

With celebrations for our 25th wedding anniversary due in July, I duly took myself back to Weight Watchers where over an 18 week period I lost 11kgs (quite reasonable I thought) - but managed to my dismay to regain 8kgs of that in just 6 weeks overseas.

Then in August I heard about Real Food Real Weight Loss which took such a different approach to sorting out the ultimate diet issue - my flagging metabolism. Matt, my husband who also had quite a bit of weight to shed joined me and on 22nd August we began our weight loss journey under the watchful eye and care of Kaz Windon.

I am so proud to say that I have lost almost 16kgs and for the first time in 15 years I sit at my ideal, healthy weight goal. More importantly my VLA shows that not only is ALL that loss fat, I have actually gained some muscle through the moderate amount of daily activity I do each day - and sometimes that it just housework - no more spin classes for me!!!

My taste buds love the healthy organic diet I now prepare for all the family - a thought shared wholeheartedly by my now-slim husband (25.5kgs lighter), although the knowledge that we can happily go out for a wonderful meal here and there with no ‘guilt‘ anymore is incredible. And day after day, the scales read the same wonderful number.

When I discovered the Real Food Real Weight Loss program I made a commitment to giving it 100% effort, and in just 12 weeks I have corrected the 34 years of dieting and exercising mistakes I unwittingly put my body through. YAY!!

Carla’s Story

Like many others, my weight has been an issue almost my whole life. I have tried a million diets. Some worked for a while, some didn’t work at all, some worked but made me feel hideous and others were just too off the wall to be something I could commit too.

A number of years ago, I was finally able to lose a lot of my weight through very strict calorie control and exercise. When I started the diet I started on 1200 calories per day and when I finished the diet, I was told that I then needed to stick to that. Which I did.

Over the next few years, I started to notice that I actually couldn’t consume even 1200 calories per day or I would gain weight. So I dropped my calorie intake to 1000, which worked, for a while. Eventually this year, I noticed that rarely, if ever, I ate over 900 calories but boy if I did my weight skyrocketed. So slowly I gained 6 kg. I couldn't possibly lower my calories any more, I couldn't exercise more than what I was already doing so it seemed I was stuck with the extra weight. Until that is, I discovered real Food Real Weightloss.

I am a skeptic (after all those failed attempts), so I did my own research. I talked to people doing it, I read the manuscript, I sat back and watched my work colleagues shrink AND remain happy! So obviously I had to try it.

I lost 6 kg in 3 weeks. It was easy, it was fun to stand on the scales every day, it was exciting!! And just quietly, I loved that I wasn’t allowed to do the strenuous exercise…I enjoyed the rest. So losing the weight was great, but what I really wanted to see was if the results would last….

After finishing the program completely back in April, I have remained consistently within the recommended weight range. I pretty much eat around the 1200 – 1500 cals per day (almost double what I once was eating!!). Added to that, if I ever have a blowout (like we all do), I just cut out carbs for the next day or two and the weight is gone. This is UNHEARD of for me. I am just so pleased that I took the plunge. I really do feel like my metabolism is fixed!! I would love another 3kgs, so later this year (just before my 40th) I plan on doing the program again… I can’t think of a better way to turn 40 than to look the best I have in my whole life. It’s a little gift to me.
