What is Scenar?

SCENAR is an electro-energenic medical modality, developed in the late 1970’s and was adapted for use by the Russian Space program to overcome the unique problems of space travel. The Scenar (Self Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulator) is a hand held electro-stimulation therapeutic medical device which interactively locates, measures and prompts problem areas in the body (called asymmetries) through the skin to help relieve pain and restore function.

How does Scenar work?

Scenar acts non-invasively through the skin, using interactive reflex response biofeedback, causing nerve innervation in the nervous system. Scenar electrical impulses, which are similar to endogenous nerve impulses, are transmitted through the skin to the nervous system. Scenar’s reflex bio-feedback is in continuous two way communication with the body. Scenar utilizes high amplitude signals and stimulates the very small and much more numerous C-nerve fibres.

By treating asymmetries, a change is generated and nerve innervation is restored, thus facilitating the healing process.

What can Scenar be used for?

The most pronounced and immediate effect after using Scenar is pain relief, which can last longer than after using more conventional means pf pain control.

Scenar therapy can be used on a wide range and most types of disorders, medical conditions or injury. These include musculo-skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and genital, neurological, ENT, skin conditions and dental problems. Treatment times can vary from ten minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes, and may be required daily, weekly, monthly, depending upon the severity or acuteness of the problem and length of time the problem has existed.
