About Rob Rich - Ortho-Bionomy

Ortho-Bionomy was developed out of Osteopathy in the mid 1970’s.

Ortho-Bionomy is different in how it approaches the body as opposed to a lot of other bodywork modalities. Ortho-Bionomy recognises the body as an intelligent system, therefore we work with the nervous system to release muscle tension, realign bones and develop increased stability in the joints.

The body has the intrinsic ability to heal itself, for example – the muscle spasm that you are currently experiencing is your body’s natural reaction and solution to a misalignment or a joint that is unstable. With Ortho-Bionomy we stabilise the joint and fine tune the alignment and this allows the body to turn off the muscle spasm. As opposed to utilising force on the muscles Ortho-Bionomy works with the bodies feedback system in the nervous system (the Proprioceptive reflexes).

Ortho-Bionomy is a safe and gentle modality as the nervous system is sensitive so there is no risk of and no forced manipulations used (we don’t need them).

Ortho-Bionomy is an effective form of healing that can assist conditions such as:

  • Lower back pain

  • Sciatica

  • Whiplash

  • Headaches & Migraines

  • Frozen shoulder & rotator cuff injury

  • Wrist, hand & finger issues

  • Unstable ankles

  • Postural issues

  • Increasing athletic performance

  • Neck & Shoulder pain

  • Teeth grinding & TMJ issues

  • Thoracic outlet syndrome

  • Bursitis

  • Tennis elbow

  • ITB & runners knee

  • Foot pain including plantar fasciitis

  • Post-surgical musculoskeletal pain

You don’t need to put up with any aches and pains any more, book a session today and you will be amazed how approaching the body differently can lead to amazing results.
