Dry Needling or Western Acupuncture
While Chinese acupuncture is based on healing through eastern principles of correcting the energy flow of a person, dry needling involves relieving muscle trigger points and is practiced based on western principles hence it can be referred to as "western acupuncture".

Dry needling uses very fine, solid filament needles to cause a precise effect in the musle tissue. This signals the brain to initiate a sequence of events to repair the area with new and healthy tissue. It effectively helps reduce inflammation and improve circulation. Dry needling is currently available separate or in conjunction with a remedial massage.
