Aromatherapy involves the use of 100% essential oils, from plant sources, as therapeutic agents to influence, change or modify, mind, body or spirit, physiology, or mood. Aromatherapy is an industry with varying forms. Based on the training of the individual and the way in which essential oils are used, there are four clearly definable branches of aromatherapy.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy based on the premise that all body systems are reflected on the feet, hands and ears. The feet (hands, ears) are assessed and congestion is released through stimulation of the relevant reflex points.
About Remedial Massage
Body therapy could be defined as a system that specialises in correcting any problems to do with body mechanics. The components of body mechanics are chiefly made up of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. On that basis it is reasonable to presume that a body therapist would have the knowledge about all of these components and therefore able to integrate this knowledge into their therapy.
About Musculoskeletal Therapy
MST, is a new holistic therapy. MST relies upon accurate assessment of whole body posture and body mechanics, together the assessment creates a more logical and more effective treatment system. In practice the musculoskeletal therapist assess the bones, joints and muscles to ascertain dysfunctions of body mechanics. The treatment is directed at the cause of the dysfunction, which is normally within the soft tissue, using specialised techniques. The whole body is then re-assessment ensuring that the treatment has been effective. MST is a therapy not a massage. A therapy that needs to be tried to be believed.
