About Me - Seoirse Laffan

After struggling with severe asthma and allergies as a child and watching my Mother suffer from debilitating back pain I was determined to understand more about the human body and health. It was just a personal interest for years, trying so many different diets, testing out many health modalities, practising yoga and trying to know which media story to believe, is it butter or margarine?

I was working for a humanitarian charity when I decided that in order for the world to become a fairer and better place, change had to come from an individual level and spread out. This brought me back to health. How can people look at helping others if they are too busy battling their own disease and suffering?

I read about Ayurveda and it completely resonated with me, I felt that it was so complete, leaving nothing out. I love being able to explain it through medical science or more traditional language, both fit.

I studied, finding an amazing course with one of the most comprehensive syllabuses outside of India. Now its my path in life to help others with this incredible medicine. As a result, I have gained government recognised qualifications in Ayurveda healing from Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in New Zealand.

My aim now is to make Ayurveda accessible to all, by endeavouring to translate ancient wisdom into modern practice. By using the framework of Ayurveda I draw from my lifelong passion and knowledge of natural health along with latest medical research, to delve to the root cause of a problem. During a session I can create a safe and comforting environment where the person can easily take on simple and practical suggestions.
