About Us
As a mother of five girls growing up in a society where food is considered a quick, packaged fix purely to fill your tummy, Brisbane nutritionist Beata Sinclair became aware of the growing gap between healthy food and everyday kitchens and lunchboxes.

"When a nutritionist talks about healthy, real food, many people find it a little daunting. Questions immediately form such as, how long will I have to spend in the kitchen? Will it be tasty? How much will it cost? Will I be able to source the ingredients? My friends were asking these questions, wanting to provide wholesome meals for their families but instead lost in a sea of media hype about the latest meal in a box or its liquid version, and the mass produced super vitamins claiming everything except time travel. As my daughters grew up they began coming to me for advice, and before long their friends were knocking on my door as well. I recognised the need for an easily accessible source of healthy recipes and alternatives, with relevant research and information."

According to the Harvard School of Public Health “aside from not smoking, the most important determinants of good health are what we eat and how active we are”. What we eat has more power over disease and ageing than any medicine a doctor may prescribe, because what we eat is the basis for our health. So it is logical that by adopting a healthy diet you will take a giant step towards correcting health problems.

Many medical conditions can be treated more effectively with foods and nutritional supplements than they can be by other means, AND with no complications and side effects. Our body has an amazing built in mechanism of balancing itself out or correcting given the right conditions. By adopting a healthy, nutritious diet you are giving your body the right tools to do just that!

We have been tricked into believing that processed, artificial food is normal, and healthy diet is extreme. How can it be true when conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, food allergies and food intolerances are on the rise? The typical or “normal” (believe me, there is nothing NORMAL about it!) western diet is a major contributing factor; diet that is nutrient depleted, high in sugar, refined carbohydrates and saturated fat. So, is there a solution? The answer is YES! Switch to a diet full of nutrient-dense, natural foods. Foods that don’t come in a box, a bag or a can. Foods that don’t contain artificial colours, additives, preservatives, chemicals, artificial plastic fats, or words you can’t pronounce. Eat whole foods, not processed products that have been depleted from their natural nutrients, only to have synthetic ones added at the end of processing to make them more appealing. Eat food that was prepared at home from wholesome ingredients, not in a factory on a conveyor belt.

If you showed your ancestors a bag of potato chips, they wouldn’t recognize it as food, and neither should you! Stop sabotaging your health by eating processed, nutrient depleted food-like substances. Start eating healthy and start feeling great again! If you surround yourself with delicious, healthy, real ingredients you'll discover and create amazing ways to use them.
