Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone massage has a lot of therapeutic benefits. It is typical to use river rocks or other very smooth-surfaced stones that are made of basalt. Hot stone massages are beneficial on both physical and psychological levels. It is always advised to check with your doctor before getting a hot stone massage; individuals with certain conditions like pregnant women and people that have high blood pressure would be advised to avoid hot stone massage.
The heat from the stones helps to relax muscles which allows for the therapist to manipulate the deep tissues more effectively. Hot Stone massage can be very effective for pain relief associated with tense muscles, stiff joints or injuries.
