What is Nutrition?
Simply said, Nutrition is the study of food at work in our bodies, our source for energy, and the medium for which our nutrients can function. Think of nutrition as the building blocks of life.
The essential nutrients for life include carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids (fats), as well as fiber, vitamins, minerals, and waterthe solvent for all soluble ingredients in the blood and cells. The absorption of nutrients starts the moment we begin to digest our foods, as they are transported to assist all the metabolic processes in the human body.
Good nutrition means getting the right amount of nutrients from healthy foods in the right combinations. Having nutrition knowledge and making smart choices about the foods you eat can and will help you achieve optimum health over your lifetime, and be a key to avoiding obesity, illness, and many of todays most prevalent chronic diseases.
Nutrition is just one key to developing and maintaining good health. Good health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
Long term nutrient depletion can adversely affect health and vitality, as well as possibly contribute to serious degenerative diseases. Ensuring adequate levels of essential nutrients is now a fundamental aspect of achieving optimal health.
Factors that contribute to nutrient depletion:
Improve Your Brain Function with Neurofeedback
What is Neurofeedback brain training?
Neurofeedback using NeurOptimal ® system is an advanced neuro-technology that provides training to the brain, enabling it to function at its optimal level. It is designed to communicate directly with the Central Nervous System, targeting shifts in the brain’s activity that can undermine optimal brain function.
There are parts of your brain that help you pay attention, help you to be calm, manage your moods and emotions and help you sleep. An inefficiently working brain can greatly affect your mind, cognitive function and wellbeing.
The good news is that anyone can improve their brain function, hence improve their ability to focus, control their behaviour and emotions.
NeurOptimal ®, the most highly evolved form of Neurofeedback was developed by clinical psychologists Dr.Valdeane Brown and Dr.Susan Brown, founders of the Zengar Institute. NeurOptimal ® works with the brain as an information-detection system. By simply offering the brain information about its own activity, NeurOptimal® allows the brain to re-organise itself, and activate its own healing wisdom. As a result of training, the brain becomes more stable, flexible and resilient. Problems and issues begin to fade away.
If you are looking to meaningfully enhance your life, improve your relationships, improve self-confidence, improve performance and behaviour, reduce stress, irritability and distractibility, then brain training cutting-edge technology with NeurOptimal ® system may facilitate just that.
NeurOptimal is a self-improvement tool which helps the brain become stronger and more resilient. When your brain is functioning at its best, trauma and life’s difficulties are far less daunting, and much easier to cope with.
What are the benefits of using Neurofeedback?
Your brain function and the Central Nervous System work in conjunction with each other, and when the brain is not operating efficiently, the Central Nervous System gets disturbed by challenges of daily life.
Some symptoms of the Central Nervous System which could indicate that your brain may not be functioning at its best include:
Training your brain with NeurOptimal ® will get you functioning at your best, WHATEVER THAT BEST IS. Neurofeedback is a very effective tool because it targets the brain, the central control of all our organs, thinking and behaviour.
Developed by clinical psychologists, NeurOptimal ® Neurofeedback brain training can help to overcome negative Central Nervous System symptoms, and benefit you in the following ways:
What is dynamical Neurofeedback?
NeurOptimal ® is the only dynamical neurofeedback system in the world, and as such is vastly different from other systems. This innovative form of Neurofeedback is not a medical treatment, but provides brain training. No diagnosis is required, but moment by moment it dances with your brain and offers it the information it needs to RE-ORGANISE itself. When that happens a whole lot of complaints drop away. You feel calmer, clearer, happier and able to function better in your life.
The NeurOptimal ®Neurofeedback is simple, perfectly safe and non-invasive, it guides the brain towards self-repair and it doesn’t require any effort.
Can anyone use Neurofeedback brain training?
NeurOptimal ® Neurofeedback is indeed safe for all ages. Many users have reported life changing results from using the NeurOptimal ® system. These users include businessmen, peak performing athletes, families, war veterans facing challenges, children suffering from communication and social challenges, people suffering from stress and anxiety due to life circumstances and students who struggle to focus.
NeurOptimal ® Neurofeedback training is an enjoyable and pleasant experience, which requires no conscious effort. The brain does all the work. The system simply brings to the brain’s attention what it is already doing – acting like a mirror, reflecting information back to the brain and Central Nervous System. This allows the brain to recognise patterns of stress or trauma and make adjustments to release them.
What happens during the session?
Most people find the sessions enjoyable, with two tiny sensors on your head and ear clips on your ears the electrical activity of your brain is recorded. You simply close your eyes, listen to the music and relax. There is absolutely nothing you need to do. You might become aware of tiny pauses or “clicks” in the music. This is a sign of the information feedback loop taking place as the brain picks up “turmoil” and fractionally stops the music. Every time you hear this, you know that your brain has just adjusted itself and self-corrected into a more natural, relaxed and effective pattern.
How many session are required?
We all know that if we wish to achieve physical fitness, we need to exercise regularly, watch our diet and change our lifestyle. It is important to understand that as NeurOptimal ® Neurofeedback is a training technology for the brain, it requires the same commitment to be effective. Just going to the gym once a month will not improve your physical fitness, and likewise random NeurOptimal ® sessions will not be effective either.
NeurOptimal ® is not a quick fix, it is a programme that allows your brain and Central Nervous System to release old habits and re-train itself in a healthier form. This takes commitment on your part, in the form of regular sessions. You may choose to begin with 1-2 sessions per week for the first few weeks, stretching sessions to 1 per week after that. I recommend that the first 10 sessions are no further than one week apart. And the 10th session will be free of charge!
How many sessions will it take to “complete” your training?
This depends partly upon your goals. If you are training to feel better quickly, you may decide after 10-12 sessions that you have made enough gains and stop. On the other hand, if you are looking for lasting changes, you may need 20-30 sessions. The good thing is that you can stop at any time and always pick up again later if you so choose, no session is ever wasted.
When the brain and Central Nervous System work harmoniously together, your body experiences balance and good health, your life runs smoothly through normal ups and downs and you adjust to situations and people easily.
