Songbird Spring Natural Therapies, formerly The Colonic Clinic and Iris Analysis at Pomona, Sunshine Coast, Queensland opened in March 2011. It is set in the beautiful hinterland of Noosa which is approximately 20 minutes away.

As a Natural Therapist, Jan Denten was with Greg Gralton ND as Colon Hydrotherapist and Receptionist at Nambour from 2004 until the end of 2010. Debby Mahony joined them in 2008 to assist Jan and to facilitate practical training as part of her studies with the College of Applied Natural Sciences. Debby then went on to study with Australian Colon Health, which is registered with the Global Professional Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (GPACT). Having relocated the clinic from Nambour has provided a warm and welcoming area in a corner of the family home, which gives a sense of peacefulness and a quiet atmosphere.

Deborah Mahony

Debby has qualifications in Colon Hydrotherapy (using the Dotolo system) and over 20 years experience as a natural therapist. Based on the Sunshine Coast Noosa Hinterland since 2003.

Debby’s background has been in small business, banking, natural therapies as well as secretarial and administration. Clinic locations have been in Maryborough, Pine Rivers area of Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, all in South East Queensland. Always with an avid desire for knowledge about nutrition and well-being, Debby studied Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy with the Kinesiology Academy (not completed, due to the college dropping that course during Debby's deferment to focus on family). Debby studied Colon Hydrotherapy at the College of Applied Natural Sciences (Margaret Wright school) on the Sunshine Coast. This RTO closed just short of Debby completing her qualification. She then gained certification in Colon Hydrotherapy with Australian Colon Health. Debby has studied numerous forms of Natural Therapies, beginning with Touch for Health Kinesiology in 1993 and Bowen Technique in 1994. Debby qualified as an internationally registered Touch for Health Instructor in 2007. Debby has a wealth of experience in empowering each client to finding the therapy pathway that is right for them. Debby also finds she has very positive outcomes for her clients through the use of therapeutic grade essential oils. Debby can offer a lot of ideas for you. Debby also has a knack of knowing what other types of therapies might help you as you continue on your journey to better health and can often refer you to the appropriate therapist.

Debby is passionate about helping people cleanse their bodies and showing them how changing their lifestyles through good eating habits and understanding patterns that bring poor health can turn their lives around. Sub-optimal health and well-being is often through simply not understanding about nutrition and stresses impacting so much on our physical and emotional health. That’s where Colon Hydrotherapy and good lifestyle choices come in. The various systems of the body need to be nurtured, starting with the digestive system.

Other passions in life for Debby are her wonderfully supportive partner, family, gardening and personal development.
