Tai Chi for All’s chief instructor, Master Robert Russell-Brown teaches Shang Gou (deceptive) style. Shang Gou is similar to the Yang style, but with attention on the deceptive nature of the moves and tricking of the opponent. The set comprises 108 moves, which are divided into six levels.

Tai Chi for All also teaches the Lotus Chi Kung, the Lohan Chi Kung, the Shibashi 1 Chi Kung, the Yin Yang Sword and the Dragon Phoenix Fan set.



About Master Robert Russell-Brown

Master Robert Russell-Brown started his martial arts study in 1957, first with Judo, then focusing on Ju Jutsu with Master Jan de Jong, principal of the Ju Jutsu Kan, Perth. In the mid 1960s Robert trained in Pencak Silat – an Indonesian fighting art. He went on to establish the study of Japanese Karate (Shotokan) in Perth, and has received the rank of third dan (honorary). Robert founded and taught Ju Jutsu and Karate at the University of Western Australia’s Martial Arts Club and his own martial arts academy. He also has training in archery, Kung Fu, Chinese shoulder pole, Japanese sword and French foil.
