“Tai Chi is a Chinese exercise system that uses slow, smooth movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind.”
Tai Chi has a long history in China, although being able to pinpoint its exact origins is difficult. To start with the sets were designed as a martial art, however, over the centuries the many health benefits of practicing Tai Chi have meant that the moves and sets practiced today have become increasingly gentle, slow, and non-competitive. It has been proven through research that Tai Chi is beneficial for arthritis, depression, osteoporosis, back pain, diabetes, (and the list goes on) both improving and preventing health conditions.
When connected with a standard treatment, Tai Chi appears to be beneficial for a range of medical conditions. For example, Diabetes, Arthritis, Breast Cancer, Low Bone Density, Heart Failure, Heart Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Hypertension, Stroke, and Sleep Problems.
