Welcome to Blissful Being Acutherapies

Blissful Being Acutherapies provides Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Reiki to the Tweed Coast, with clinic rooms in TWEED HEADS SOUTH AND KINGSCLIFF as well as a MOBILE SERVICE. Blissful Being Acutherapies provides quality holistic health care in a nurturing, soothing environment, offering a unique combination of therapies, including Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (Cupping, Moxibustion, herbal formulas) massage and Reiki.

This combination of therapies works by triggering the natural healing processes within your body – stimulating your immune system and activating physiological responses that encourage your body to heal itself. The unique combination of TCM and Reiki initiates healing on a physical, mental, emotional and vibrational level, addressing not only your symptoms but the underlying cause as well. In doing so, our treatments deliver gentle, fast and long-lasting relief for body, mind and spirit.

About me

As a practitioner of energetic medicine, I find it a necessity to treat all aspects of disharmony in the body – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual – and this is where I feel that my treatments differ from those offered by many other health therapists. By combining Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with Reiki I am able to access and initiate transformation at the most base level of the body – at a vibrational level – and use these tools to trigger the body’s natural healing mechanisms for a return to balance. I find this approach works well for most people, however I find it works particularly well with mental health issues such as ANXIETY and DEPRESSION, as well as general FATIGUE, STRESS, AND CONDITIONS WITH STRONG UNDERLYING EMOTIONAL FACTORS, and thus it is the treatment of these conditions to which I am drawn to more and more.

The Reiki work that I conduct during all treatments incorporates scanning the body for blockages along with Chakra Cleansing, to ‘clear’ as well as ‘recharge’ the energetic systems of the body. By combining this with Acupuncture and other TCM modalities I find that I am able to deliver a treatment that is gentle, nurturing and very effective. My goal is to have every person I treat float out of the clinic room feeling wonderful, and to see that feeling translate into long-term changes that will allow them to live their lives as fully as they choose. My wish for my clients is that the state of their lives be dictated by themselves, and not by their ill health.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture – the painless insertion of super fine needles – allows deeper access to places that touch alone cannot reach. These needles are usually inserted into acupoints – points along the meridians that transport Qi through our bodies. These acupoints have been identified over thousands of years by ancients and scholars of Chinese Medicine as reliable ‘access points’ that allow entry into and manipulation of the Qi in the channels. This allows us to influence the Qi, Blood, meridians and organs in the body to either move Qi and Blood that is ‘stuck’ or build Qi and Blood where it is deficient, and help the body return itself to a state of balance. Recent research into the scientific mechanisms behind Acupuncture show clear physiological response within the body when acupoints are stimulated, over and above what could necessarily be expected to occur with any regular stimulation of the body.

Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture is the application of a low current to the needle to create a pulse that enhances stimulation to the area. Electroacupuncture is commonly used for musculoskeletal problems to help attain a more rapid therapeutic result, and although it might sound a bit daunting, it just feels like a twitch and is well worth it for the outcome.

Cupping

Cupping involves glass cups being applied to the body by creating a vacuum. Cupping is great for loosening off tight muscles, drawing out toxins, or treating a cold or flu, and it really just feels great. Stationary cups can be placed on well lubricated skin and left for a period of time in a relaxing treatment that helps remove unwanted toxins in the skin.

Massage

The massage given by Tanya Kane at Blissful Being Acutherapies involves a combination of Swedish and Remedial massage techniques, along with Tui Na (Traditional Chinese Massage) and promotes the relaxation of muscles and the free flow of Qi. Massage is commonly used in clinic post needling for musculoskeletal problems, to assist the flow of Qi and Blood to the area just treated – and besides, it’s a lovely way to finish a relaxing Acupuncture session.

Reiki

Reiki is a centuries old healing technique where Qi is transmitted through the palms of the hands. Tanya uses Reiki as an important adjunctive therapy during all of her treatments to help initiate deep and sustained healing in the body. Injuries, pain, emotional issues – any imbalance in the body involves a deeper and more profound change on a deeper ‘vibrational’ level. Reiki allows these changes to be addressed directly, facilitating a more powerful and longer-lasting rebalancing to occur.
