Treatments

We offer a range of services that aid in recovery to help get you back to a healthier you!

Rock Tape (Fascial Movement Taping)

Rock Tape is the world's best kinesiology tape, used to microscopically lift the skin away from the muscle and fascia below, creating a decompressive effect. We use this to treat sports and non-sports injuries, including shin splints, plantar fasciitis, runner's knee and back pain. Rock taping assists in decreasing pain, swelling and bruising while providing functional support and allowing full range of movement. It’s water-resistant and hypoallergenic too.

Deep Tissue Massage

Our deep tissue massage will work out the knots from stressed, overworked muscles and connective tissue (fascia) to alleviate immediate pain, as well as chronic joint and muscle pain. It will also promote faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage in all stages of pregnancy is a relaxing, light, full body massage. Depending on the needs of a mother, it will incorporate Swedish massage, long strokes and lymphatic drainage to decrease fluid retention and facilitate lymph flow, deeper localized strokes to ease muscle tension, relaxing foot, hand and head massage.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is used to locate and repair damaged areas of the body and speed up the body’s own healing processes. Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body. Remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.

Sports Injury Therapy

Sports Injury Therapy is a form of therapy that focuses on the treatment of injuries affecting the muscles, joints, ligaments, or tendons. It incorporates various techniques such as stretching, strengthening and mobilising the affected area during the treatment process. It aims to relieve pain first and then restore the injured area to normal function and also promote optimal function to the whole body.

Sports Massage

A sports massage incorporates techniques from other massage styles to become an entity that works to provide a deep and rehabilitating process that manipulates the soft tissue to prevent injury, elevate muscle or tendon pain or rid the soft tissue of any stress they are holding on to. Extremely beneficial to athletes, gym goers or even those that are desk bound between 9-5, a sports massage experience will vary from person to person depending on what their injuries or aggravations are.

Dry Needling

The usage of Dry needling and Myofascial Decompression may be used in treatments to enhance the recovery of certain myofascial and neuromuscular conditions. Dry Needling is the use of fine needles in the treatment of pain caused by Myofascial Trigger Points (MTPs). MTPs are hyper-irritable points in a muscle, often with a palpable nodule due to acute or chronic overload. Dry needling involves inserting the fine needles into the skin and then deeper into the MTP. Dry needling is proposed to work by changing the tone within the muscle, allowing it to relax. It does this through a Local Twitch Response (LTR). Here the muscle fibres in the taut band of muscle contract involuntarily. It is believed that this also helps with pain relief through the activation of endogenous opioids (the body’s natural pain-relieving substances).
