Maria graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) and a Masters of Osteopathy. As osteopathy is a holistic modality and is based upon the body’s capacity for self-healing, Maria believed strongly in this method of healing. She believes alongside osteopathic treatment, it is integral to empower clients to take a proactive approach to their own rehabilitation process from illness or injury. This can be through effective education on what causes the illness or injury and providing them tools to aid their recovery; such as rehabilitative exercises, ergonomic and lifestyle strategies or dietary advice.

Due to the holistic nature of osteopathy, your osteopath may examine more than the site of pain and discomfort, looking at surrounding areas that may be contributing to the injury.
