Hypnotherapy can be best described as an altered state of awareness where you feel completely relaxed mentally, physically and emotionally. It is a similar experience to daydreaming – where you experience deep relaxation, while your mind is still alert to your physical sensations and surroundings.
Clinical Hypnotherapists use this altered (or hypnotic) state to facilitate communication between the conscious and subconscious minds. The conscious mind enjoys a break, while your subconscious mind is open and receptive to positive directions and suggestions. The result is you are able to make positive changes to thought patterns, habits and overcome fears that negatively impact your life.
Working and studying Mental Health has given me an insight into the importance of wellbeing and getting the balance right. I see the mind as a storeroom, sometimes we hoard stuff that is no longer important or it disrupts our emotional wellness.
Hypnotherapy helps people to let go and move forward, clearing all the negative emotions.
I work with addictions which may include alcohol, smoking or drugs, trauma, bad habits, disharmony, stress, phobias, anxiety, weight, feeling stuck and anything else that is bothering a person.
