Our Mental Health Services

Just like the mind affects the body, the body affects the mind. Here at Victoria Avenue Wellbeing in Albert Park VIC, we value your mental health as much as your physical health.

We employ a variety of psychological tools and techniques to help you maintain a positive mindset that will enable you to reach your goals and live your life to the fullest.

Counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and psychology are powerful tools that will guide you in cultivating your innate wisdom and resources to achieve your personal growth.

By bringing these modalities into play, our mental health experts provide unparalleled care which addresses the root of a problem and connects the mind, body and spirit to form into one integrated whole. This wholeness is crucial to your health and overall wellbeing.

How Counselling Can Help

We provide counselling services for individuals, couples and families. The counselling style of our registered counsellor, Cheryl Taylore, is always determined by the personal needs and concerns of her clients so no two treatment sessions are ever alike.

Cheryl specialises in the treatment of trauma, where she employs Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and somatic experiencing.

How the Integration of Psychotherapy, Counselling and Hypnotherapy Works

Robyn Swift believes that a person’s recurring problem stems from their negative behavioural pattern.

By delivering the combined benefits of holistic counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, she is able to bring an individual’s mind, body and spirit together. This helps them overcome their persistent problems as they learn how to shift their negative behaviours into supportive ones.

Eliminating Pain with Clinical Psychology

As a registered health psychologist, Valeria Zoteyeva uses an arsenal of techniques to treat the underlying causes of chronic pain.

Her treatment methods include cultivating people’s ability to express themselves. This helps them deepen their connection with their inner self.

Besides providing one-on-one therapy sessions, you can also take part in Valeria’s psycho-educational classes and psychotherapy groups which address a variety of issues such as sleep issues, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, intimacy problems and several others.
