Hi there, I’m Hayley Williams a qualified professional Reflexologist with a Certificate IV in Reflexology from the Australian Institute of Applied Science (AIAS, 2009). I am also registered with the Reflexology Association of Australia (RAoA) and have a BA, (UQ 1998).

Reflexology is a foot massage that involves applying a special massage technique to reflex areas on the feet.
These reflex areas represent all of your organs, glands and parts of your body, and by stimulating these we are affecting your whole body.

What can I expect?
I am a qualified professional Reflexologist interested in giving you an amazingly relaxing and therapeutic experience with Reflexology.
To help create the perfect environment for you to relax in, I will play soft relaxing music in the background, and will be burning some aromatherapy essential oils burning to create a lovely scent in the air.
Each Reflexology session lasts for one hour, and also includes a foot bath to cleanse and start you on your way to blissful relaxation!
While your feet soak you will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire. All details are kept strictly confidential.
After this, you will then relax on a comfortable massage table with legs supported so you can enjoy your Reflexology treatment. A variety of techniques will be used on your feet with the aim of total relaxation with therapeutic benefits. It will not hurt you, it will feel fabulous.
Almost all of my clients are so deeply relaxed that they fall asleep by the time I have finished their first foot. This is completely fine and encouraged to maximise effectiveness!
You will be very deeply relaxed after your session, so please set aside some time after your session to go home and simply relax!
You should allow 1 hour 30 minutes for your first Reflexology, and 1 hour 15 minutes for subsequent visits.

Will it hurt?
No! Your reflexology massage will feel wonderful – the aim is for you to be totally and deeply relaxed. Almost all of my clients are asleep by the time I have finished their first foot. You may have some areas of your feet that are tender due to local issues or accumulation of toxins, so please let me know straight away so I can work more gently on those areas!
Can it really help with something like stiff neck?
Yes. Reflexology works the whole body via the feet, and improves circulation to the whole body. It can help with many common complaints such as back pain, shoulder pain, stiff neck, headache, constipation, sinus pain and many more things!
What if I am ticklish?
Whilst being very relaxing, reflexology is not simply light feathery strokes. Some pressure is applied using a specific technique, and through experience clients who are ticklish have responded very well to Reflexology.
Are there any medical conditions that might stop me from being able to have a Reflexology treatment? (Contra-Indications)
Yes. If you have any of the following conditions, you will not be able to receive treatment:

- • Deep Vein Thrombosis
• Insulin Dependent Diabetes
• Epilepsy
• Unstable Blood Pressure (i.e. cannot be controlled by medication)
• Heart Attack or Stroke (within the last 6 months)
• Coronary Heart Disease (Arteriosclerosis, Atherosclerosis, Angina)
