Yoga

Hatha

Hatha is a basic and gentle Yoga class that concentrates on slower paced stretching with some basic pranayama breathing exercises as well as incorporated meditation practice throughout. This class is a good place to learn beginners poses, relaxation methods and to become comfortable in practicing Yoga.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa yoga is movement that is aligned and synchronized to the breath with each individual pose moving into the next in a smooth flow. When you come in for this class you can come in expecting strengthening and movement – not simply stretching, with some time at the end of the session for some relaxing meditation.

Ashtanga

Ashtanga yoga is another style of yoga that is made up of a dynamic set sequence of synchronized and postures with precise breath. In this Modified Ashtanga Basic class we will work through and explore some of the postures from Primary Series in a sequential manner, however, we go through posture by posture in more calming and relaxed environment to allow for the specific understanding of each posture, to gain flexibility and strength.

Yin

Yin Yoga works on the deep tissues of the body with relaxed muscles and breath work whilst holding poses for 3-5 min. The numerous benefits of Yin Yoga are an increase in energy flow & flexibility, removal of hip & back pain, decreased stiffness in joints, relieve stress, improve sleep and quieten your mind allowing you to find inner peace.

Pilates

Pilates utilises correct alignment, control, centring, concentration, breathing, precision and flowing movements (the Pilates principles) to establish a perfect working body from the inside out.

Pilates classes develop flexibility, strength and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine, as opposed to bulking and shortening the muscles.

Our Pilates classes incorporate a mixture of Wunda Chai, Reformer and mat work to bring about balance in your Pilates practice.
