Women’s Life Coaching

Life coaching continues to grow in popularity with more and more of us wanting to achieve more from our lives. Gone are the days when people settled for just working a Monday to Friday job. We now want and expect more from ourselves and our lives and are prepared to step outside of our comfort zone simply because we want to experience something more fulfilling – something that enriches us on a soul level as well as in our lives.

A coach is someone that is going to hold you accountable, inspire you to push your limits, to make changes in the areas of your life that you’re not happy or satisfied with and in some cases, point out a few things along the way that you might not have noticed or been aware of.

With a coach, you’ll not only have someone to help you move forward and make monumental changes but you’ll also have someone that is going to show and introduce you to a new version of yourself. Coaching isn’t just about a set outcome or goal – it is also a journey of self-discovery, there is very much a spiritual element to coaching. Once you are in alignment with yourself and you know what really makes you tick – you can become unstoppable.

Life coaching vs counselling

When I started my journey of wanting to help women, I have to be honest, I had no idea that life coaching was actually an option. I thought Tony Robbins was a one of a kind and he held the monopoly of coaching…
I was a bit naive you could say.

So I started out with studying to become a counsellor.

After completing a two year counselling course I found myself in a position of frustration. Women would talk to me and tell me their problems, they would cry, they’d feel scared and powerless and they so desperately needed help in moving forward and getting out of their rut but all I could do was to listen. I would suggest things for them to try and sometimes give my best pep-talk in an attempt to try and empower them to move past their pain but it just felt like a never ending loop of ‘talking, crying, repeat’.

It was perhaps five or six months later that I happened to come across a website advertising life coach training. It was like a light bulb went off in my head and so I began another two years of studying and training to become a life coach and that is when things started to turn around for not just myself but my clients.

Life coaching is about the future. It’s about looking at where you are now and taking steps in order to get to where you want to be. We don’t ever dismiss or ignore your pain from the past but we don’t allow it to control or have a hold over your future. We work towards an outcome – of something better, something more fulfilling and rewarding for you.

What can you use a life coach for?

Life coaching is exactly that – coaching you in any or all areas of your life.

We generally find there is an overlap from one area of our life to another and by that I mean, just from working on a single area of your life, say for example your focus is on your health, this tends to overflow into all other areas – so your relationships improve, your connection to yourself becomes deeper, you’re more fulfilled within your career and friendships. It all has a knock on effect.

The common reasons that people seek out a coach are generally:

    • Business/Career

    • Money

    • Health

However, a coach can also help you with:

    • Love/Partner

    • Spirituality

    • Personal Growth & Development

    • Social & Friendships

    • Family.

To name but a few.

Women’s Empowerment

I believe it is a time for women. Women have an ability to heal their families, the communities in which they live and the planet as a whole, to balance out the masculine energy and to create a more heart centred culture. But I also believe that before we can do that we have to start with ourselves. I want to not only help change the way women are viewed within society but also help change how we see ourselves. This is about securing your own oxygen mask before helping the other passengers next to you, and I know this is something that we, as women, can struggle with - putting ourselves first, but I believe it has now become a necessity. Women understand on a deeper level what community and connection is about and if we start with ourselves, we become infectious, spreading throughout our families and the community like a wildfire.

Happier, healthier and secure women raise happier, healthier and secure children. They have happier, healthier and secure marriages and they have happier, healthier and secure friendships.

I am a very strong advocate of women reaching their full potential.
That doesn’t mean that I’m pushing for every woman to become the next prime minister of Australia but I do believe that every women, no matter where they have come from or what they have been through, has something uniquely them to offer the world and a coach can help you not only find that but develop it.

Once we have tapped into our strengths and have reached a place of understanding of our own personal journey, life just seems to flow all that easier.

How long will you work with a coach?

Every coach is different in how they work and offer their services but six months is a relatively good place to start if you’re working to a program and are dedicated to a complete overhaul or re-direction of your life. (That equates to meeting with your coach roughly every two weeks or for 13 sessions)
There is an option of single sessions however, should that be what works for you.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

Coaching and NLP go hand in hand. In actual fact you could ask which came first and it would be hard to decipher as it’s a bit of a ‘chicken and egg’ relationship.

NLP is based on the programming of our mind and the language we use (both externally and internally) in which we interpret what has not only happened to us but what is happening now. Two people could have exactly the same experience and yet each one of them will filter it in different ways, pick up on completely different aspects of the situation and come up with their own conclusions and opinions purely because of their past programming.

An NLP trained coach will use that in order to challenge some of your current thought patterns and beliefs about yourself and your capabilities.
This isn’t done as a way to offend you but rather as a way to help you to get out of your own way and to stop the internal dialogue that you may have used previously as a way to self-sabotage yourself.

Your beliefs about yourself could be holding you back from a completely different life.

I personally studied NLP with John Grinder who is not only the founder of NLP but was also the man who trained Tony Robbins – the most famous and sort after coach in much of the world.

Prices and timings

I offer block packages or single timed sessions. If you're unsure of which one you need, please feel free to get in touch and I can help point you in the right direction to the one I think will be most appropriate to you.

Hourly sessions are:

    • 1-1.5hr session - $120

    • 6 x 1.5hr sessions for $660* - ($110 per session)

*Full payment is payable after the first meeting.

I offer a 100% money back guarantee of our initial session if you are not convinced.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

I have personally found, on top of coaching, that EFT is an incredibly effective way of altering our thought patterns and letting go of the beliefs and memories that can sometimes keep us stuck. If you’re interested in coaching services only, I will sometimes use EFT as a way to help you remove your blocks. Fear is something that can keep us stuck but is easily removed with EFT.
(Please see my other page for more information on EFT).

Where do we meet?

We can arrange a mutually agreed upon place or you are welcome to come to my home where I work.

Coaching doesn’t need to be done face to face, however. The beauty of coaching is that it can be done via Skype, Zoom or even over the phone and I'm happy to accommodate what works best for you.
