What is EFT therapy?

Emotional Freedom Technique is an emotional version of acupuncture, but without the needles. We stimulate meridian points on the surface of the skin by tapping on them with our finger tips. These points have a connection to the amygdala which is the part of the brain responsible for emotions, survival instincts and memory. It very cleverly interrupts the signals and patterns that our past experiences have created within our brain, stops the negative self-talk and consistent chatter that we seem to constantly be fighting with and this leads to a feeling of freedom, peacefulness and genuine happiness.

EFT has been shown time and time again to reduce the conventional talk therapies, like counselling and psychology, from months and / or years to a few sessions, a few hours – and in some cases, even just a few minutes and is one of the leading and preferred treatment for veterans coming back from war.

How does it work?

EFT interrupts the brain signals and patterns (ie, the memories) that cause you to relive an event or situation. You'll find, sometimes after just a single session, that you no longer associate the emotions of that time with the past thought of it. You will literally release or 'let go' of them, so they are no longer a part of you and your thought patterns.

Releasing the emotional burden that you may have been carrying around for all those years, can be life changing.
