Ku Nye Massage

In Tibetan Medicine, there are 4 main curative approaches: diet, behaviour, medicines and external therapies. Ku Nye is one of the most important external therapies of the Tibetan Medical system.

Traditional Tibetan massage (Ku Nye) is an entire body massage utilising oil based on your constitution or energy evaluation/diagnosis. Oil is applied to the body gradually over the body applying kneading, rubbing, acupressure and other technique according to Tibetan medicine.

It is as a relaxation massage for general well being or to treat particular conditions, for example, migraines, headaches, fatigue, tension, depression, back and neck pain.

While treating particular issues, the specialist will deal with a portion of the 250 points on the body. These focuses can be rotated, pressed and tapped with fingers or with a special stick (Yuk Cho).

The massage may also include other types of external therapies:

  • bLha Massage (bLha Chung)

  • Chakra Massage (Tsa Kor)

  • Hot Stone & Shell Massage (Do Nye)

  • Stick Therapy (Yuk Cho)

  • Moxibustion (Me Tza)

  • Mongolian Moxibustion (Hor Me)

  • Cupping (Me Bum)

  • Hot /Cold Compress (Duk Cho)
