WHAT IS MASSAGE?

Massage is a “hands-on” form of treatment in which a therapist manipulates muscles and other soft tissues of the body to improve wellbeing and health. Throughout a massage different techniques are used, these can range from gentle stroking to deep kneading of the muscles and soft tissue. Massage is an amazingly effective modality for the removal of stress, tension and to bring out feelings of calm and relaxation.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE

Remedial massage is a deep massage that aims to help stimulate the body’s innate healing ability and return the body back to optimal health. It is utilised to treat sprains, strains, bruising, broken bones, any injury where the skin is intact. Deep tissue massage removes blockages, scar tissue, damaged cells and adhesion’s left after an injury, increases recovery rates and encourages a more whole and complete form of healing. Remedial massage is also utilised for conditions that are created by lifestyle, such as Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and back pain. It is designed to enhance the flow of lymph and blood, particularly in the injured areas.

At Yeronga Vitality & Healthy we provide hour and a half massage sessions. We suggest the initial appointment last for an hour, this will allow our professional to conduct a thorough consultation. Each and every appointment will include a consultation to allow the Remedial Therapist to make sure the proper techniques and assessment can be applied to ensure the desired outcome is reached.
