Yoga has been part of Esther's life for over 30 years. Following starting her Satyananda yoga teacher training in 2003, she established Yoga in Hornsby in 2010.   

She prefers this style of yoga because of its therapeutic approach and intricate meditation practices.  

Besides being a Yoga Teacher, Esther is also a Yoga Therapist, Remedial Massage therapist, hypnobirthing practitioner and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant. 

Services Offered

Yoga Classes

Yoga sessions are 1.5 hours and include yoga poses for balance, strength, mobility, flexibility and breathing practices, which are all beneficial for releasing physical, mental and emotional tensions, including stress.

Yoga Nidra is said to be equivalent to two hours of sleep, and it helps prepare the body and mind for sleep. Many people say they sleep deeply after yoga nights. 

Both beginners' yoga and more advanced yoga classes are taught, including inversions, salutations, breathing techniques and yogic philosophy.

Yoga is a mind-body practise that can be practised with awareness. After a while, it will become easier and you will wonder why you waited so long.

Yoga Therapy

Using ancient techniques of yoga, Esther offers private and individualised yoga therapy sessions to help you face and overcome physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health concerns or goals in a way that suits your lifestyle. 

You can come every week, every month or just for three sessions in six months.

During the initial face-to-face session, you will take away a detailed personalised program, which will include instructions, diagrams, and photos that show you doing the practice and recordings that can be used as often as you like anywhere. 

Esther will monitor your progress and keep you motivated as needed!

Relaxation and Meditation Classes

For those in need of nourishing and restoring, Esther also offers a 30-minute deep meditative relaxation class or Yoga Nidra. 

The practice is great for those who have trouble sleeping, don't have the energy for yoga, want some time away from their busy, stressful lives, are recovering from illness, or just want to top up their reserves.  

Massage Therapy

Additionally, Esther is a diploma qualified remedial massage therapist (Senior Level 1 with AMT) which can be reclaimed through your health fund using her provider number.  This includes deep tissue, relaxation/Swedish and sports. You will receive a pre and post assessment and lifestyle / yoga practices to help support your recovery as relevant.  Treatment includes heat and the best quality Tui balms and sun dried towels :) with natural airflow & sounds of nature from the garden outside.  The service is unrushed and there is street parking.  I am offering Chair massage now too and have some myofacial release techniques which add to the massage.
