About Thushari Sumanasekera 

My career as a life coach has stemmed from a passion for people. One of the key areas I have focused on is Career Coaching, where I believe the best understanding comes from personal experience. Prior to finding a passion in Life Coaching, I have had fifteen years experience in senior positions in the textile industry, including leading over three hundred people as a Product Manager. I am proud to have worked with top brands such as Nike, Victoria’s Secret and GAP, Marks & Spencer and these brands have taught me a lot about the importance of continuous improvement. My work has taken me around the world, and I have travelled to countries such as Japan, USA, UK, China, Pakistan and India as part of my management roles, providing unique insights into the different aspects of these cultures. This has instilled in me a strong sense of the connection between individuals and what they need to succeed.

Qualifications

In both of my chosen careers, I believe it is important to continually work on ways to improve your skill set. Throughout my career I have undertaken leadership training, emotional intelligence training and Quality Management training, and in recent years I have successfully completed intensive practical training at The Coaching Institute here in Melbourne.
