Symptoms occur suddenly and include twitching, weakness or paralysis, the drooping of the eyelid or one corner of the mouth, drooling, dry eye or mouth, and a difference in how things taste. Treatment options include medication such as anti-virals or steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs, acupuncture, massage, chiropractic and vitamin B12.
