This course is unique in its approach to health and wellbeing. The course unites ancient and modern wisdom. The course is based on a shamanic model and is underpinned with the scientific theory and insights of both mainstream and transpersonal psychology as our students learn the therapeutic qualities of drawing, clay work, sculpture, painting, pastels and collage creation.
This is a highly experiential and practical course that is incredibly valuable for people who want to work in mapping and navigating life crises and transitions. The depth of knowledge you’ll gain also enables you to work effectively with both mental health issues and spiritual crises as well as how to differentiate between the two.
Graduates leave us with a profound understanding of the psyche and a range of techniques to explore it, which opens up a wide range of career options in both clinic and organisational work. Graduates have gained employment in organisations such as art therapy/counselling services, government agencies, alcohol and drug centres, rehabilitation and outreach services, health centres, schools and of course private practice.
