What is the Feldenkrais Method?
Most of us are unaware of how we move. We usually pay attention to where we are going or what we are doing, but not how we are moving. Often our movement becomes habitual and automatic and we tend to repeat the same movement over and over without thinking or noticing.
The Feldenkrais Method is a kinaesthetic movement education system. It teaches you how to develop more comfortable, efficient and healthier ways of moving and thus more readily tap into the vast potential of the human nervous system.
The Feldenkrais Method looks at a problem holistically and through the medium of movement. Rather than focussing on the pathology in a particular joint or area, the focus is on the movement pattern or posture that creates or maintains the pain or restriction.

I originally trained as a Massage Therapist, with qualifications in Remedial, Shiatsu and Sports Injury Massage as well as a Diploma in Lymphatic Drainage. My own practice has been running successfully since 1996.
