What is Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture?

Chinese medicine has been used in China since time immemorial, dating back over 5,000 years. The unique aspect of Chinese medicine and culture is that all of the medicine is derived from natural sources. Plant and animal materials, as well as minerals, are important components of Chinese medicine.

In Chinese medicine, food is of primary importance. Its four functions, namely cold, hot, warm and cool, have a strong impact on a person's body and can contribute to either health or illness. The five tastes of food, on the other hand, which are sour, bitter, spicy, sweet and salty, correspond to the five elements.

When used correctly, Chinese medicine can help people recover from a wide range of illnesses. A qualified Chinese medicine practitioner seeks to identify the root cause of a health problem and then employs the most appropriate treatment approach to help relieve the illness. They only use natural medicine, which is primarily derived from herbal plants. This can be extremely beneficial in terms of providing significant relief.

Acupuncture uses the theory of Chinese medicine to treat and prevent illness in your body. It is beneficial for pain and chronic conditions, as well as regulating blood circulation.
