About Angela Thurston
Angela's journey as a Yoga teacher began in January 2011 with a 300 hour Sivananda teacher program with the Swami Vishnu Yoga Centre in Ontario, Canada. Because she was taught by a traditional Indian Swami, her training had its foundation in yogic philosophy and the spiritual realms of yoga. While undertaking this training she discovered that the physical practice of yoga is an aspect of the modality as a whole. This was a surprise to me!
Her training and the concepts and philosophies she integrated into her life as a result saw a complete shift in direction that has been a profound experience and the beginnings of a lifelong path of growth and change.
On completion of her initial teacher training, she volunteered with the Canadian YMCA, teaching regular classes, she then returned to Australia and committed to further expanding her training and completed a Vinyasa Flow advanced immersion.
She is also a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner and has completed levels 1, 2 & 3 in Thai Yoga Massage. She trained at Yoga Trinity in Canberra, Australia - to learn more about Thai Yoga Massage, visit this page.
She teaches various classes throughout Adelaide and also offers corporate lunchtime classes and private classes. She is passionate about using her skills to help enhance the health and lives of friends, family and community. Angela in constantly furthering her studies in Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage and has a keen interest in Ayurveda.
