What is Asami Engagement Psychology?
Hi! My name is Lisa Johnson. I am the director of Engagement Psychology in Sandgate QLD, which supports individuals, families, communities and organisations by enhancing their self-fulfillment and well-being.
Through Asami, a holistic approach to one’s psychological well-being, I help people enhance their health and ensure their relationship, lifestyle or employment isn’t damaging it.
I believe that you don’t have to sacrifice your health and happiness to earn a living or have a fulfilling life.
Asami offers a supportive and strategic approach by completing a holistic assessment of your health and happiness. The best part of this process is that it is achievable and sustainable with simple and manageable steps.
What Do I Offer
I have been a licensed psychologist and facilitator within the health and well-being industry for the past 20 years.
My passion for holistic and preventative medicine inspired me to promote and apply health practices within this scope of discipline for organisations and individuals.
I am a postgraduate psychology supervisor and lecturer at Griffith University and have been a regular psychology presenter for ABC radio.
I previously worked as a lecturer of counselling and psychology at Endeavour College of Natural Health, and have delivered numerous workshops for the past 15 years.
My approach has been described by many people as emotionally warm, supportive, genuine and collaborative. Perhaps the reason is I strive to offer an integrative approach covering healthy eating practices, physical activity, emotional well-being, social connectedness and a healthy work-life balance.
I constantly work to develop and deliver interventions to enhance workplace health, diversity and inclusion, mindfulness, self-care, organisational change and development.
