Better Backs Chiropractic & Natural Products in Mitcham, Victoria, provides personal training delivered by our qualified, professional personal trainer, Christine Prescott. She can work with you to develop a personalised training plan that is tailored to your fitness and wellbeing. All training programs and fitness classes are specially designed to address any previous or current injuries, medical conditions, postural issues, or neck or back pain you may be experiencing.

Christine can collaborate with your chiropractor to develop a safe and effective rehab training program to improve strength and flexibility in the affected areas if you require personal training as part of your rehabilitation from an injury or a medical condition or procedure.

How does personal training work?

Christine will conduct a thorough assessment in consultation with your chiropractor before beginning any training to assess your fitness levels and identify any specific areas of concern, all while working to formulate the most effective treatment plan.

While we prefer in-person personal training, especially for rehabilitation or injury management, Christine can also provide online training.

Personal training may be recommended by our chiropractic team as part of a broader treatment program that may include chiropractic treatments, remedial massage, orthotics, dry needling, or low back pain treatments.

Personal training for low back pain

Low back pain can range from a minor nuisance to severe and crippling pain that prevents the sufferer from moving. Certain movements can cause niggles and twinges in the lower back, resulting in discomfort and limited range of motion. Back pain can also be chronic, beginning mildly and gradually worsening over time.

The most common symptoms of low back pain include:

  • Dull pains or localised aches in the lower back
  • Numbness or tingling sensations in the legs or feet
  • Burning pain that travels down the legs and feet
  • Muscle spasms
  • Bending or twisting twitches
  • Pain or tightness in the shoulders or neck
  • Lower back, pelvic, and hip tightness
  • Pain or numbness after prolonged sitting or standing
  • Pain or difficulty standing erect, walking or sitting down

Our personal training program, especially when combined with other natural treatments, such as remedial massage, dry needling, orthotics and chiropractic care, can alleviate, if not eliminate, the underlying cause of your low back pain. We provide low back pain treatments throughout Melbourne, including Mitcham, Blackburn, Nunawading, Ringwood, Vermont, and other surrounding suburbs.

Schedule an appointment online or contact us if you wish to find out more about our personal training programs.
