After 10 years in grief and trauma counselling/support, Melinda began to study energy techniques and became qualified in Reflexology, Massage and Theta Healing / Space Clearing in order to work with people on many levels and in more than one way. In 2006 she opened BreakFree Therapies. While specialising in the management of Depression and Anxiety, Melinda has fast gained a reputation for her dedication, her therapeutic ability and for putting her clients first. This is the reason why, aside from the long-term clients who attend her clinic, she is often asked to attend the elderly or those with special needs. The therapies are all clinically proven to be effective or are widely understood to create a positive impact on your wellbeing, yet are also very relaxing and feel fantastic. About the treatments......

Treatments can take place either at a quiet clinic room in Seabrook, via zoom /skype or phone or as part of a home visiting service, depending on your therapy and your preferences. Melinda uses a heated massage table and makes sure that you relax and feel comfortable. Reflexology always begins with a warm, aromatherapy footbath.

  • Reflexology, Massage and Lymphatic Drainage are all clinically proven for their effectiveness in reducing and preventing the severity of health conditions.
  • Theta counselling will help you change the emotional reasons behind any di-sease and when combined with space clearing, will balance your entire environment and give you a fresh start.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Reflexology & Certificate 1V in Massage (2006)
  • Certificates in Theta Healing, Reiki levels 1 & 2, Grief counselling (1998-2003)
  • Bachelor of Arts (1993) & Bachelor of Social Work & Social Policy (1997)

  • Yes, Melinda does use other therapies to help you amongst which include counselling, Bush Flower Remedies, Feng Shui and basic education on nutrition and herbs.
  • Yes, Melinda is qualified for all therapies on offer and is currently studying the foundations of Naturopathy. She has a lot of past experience with Depression/Anxiety/Trauma, mental health, substance misuse and relationships.
  • Yes, Melinda offers phone/skype/zoom consultations for Theta Counselling.
  • Melinda has a current working with children’s check and is happy to work with children and pets.
  • BreakFree Therapies has a policy for missed or last-minute cancellations and will ask you to pay 50% of your appointment fee. Please cancel or reschedule minimum 24 hours before your appointment.
