Work on the body should be:

“hard but at the same time soft, giving rise to harmony with the physical body” “steady comfortable foundation” (ys ii 46)

(ys. ii 46) Sthira Sukham Aasanam

“The key to success in this regard is practice with effort, which becomes progressively easier, combined with deep contemplation.” (ys ii 47)

(ys. ii 47) Prayatna-shaithilya-ananta-samapatti-bhyam

Ref. Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Sadhana Pada, Chpt. II. & Rishikul Yogshala

So, we find ourselves enveloped by our busy lives and our busy schedules, what is the answer? or at least where can I go to start or to complement what I am already doing?

Channel Therapies

This is why I chose a Personal Yoga Practice to add to my “tool box” for balancing, and have chosen to expand my personal practice into Channel Therapies, Yoga for Health.

We focus on achieving relief in your primary areas of concern, and we strive to enable the whole person; this is review lifestyle and daily habits, work and home environment, fitness, training and determine an integrative treatment plan, all specific to your injury or illness management!

This will aid in identifying and reinforcing the fundamentals of health, safety, wellness and risk management for you in your everyday life...Without the doublespeak, Identify and kick bad habits! So you can create and use new supportive good ones!

I observe daily the impact, loss of fundamental movement has on our bodies ability to function. By undertaking a physical therapy or “body work”, Bowen Therapy for instance, for stress, anxiety, pain, injury management and detoxification, supported by a regular treatment (maintenance) plan, a solid foundation for long-term health, fitness and wellness can be layed.

I observe the “gaps” in societies present general approach to long-term health, fitness and wellness undertaking...

Body Work = Solid Foundation

Body Work WITHOUT reinforcement/support/physical activity = more than likely inevitable loss and back to bad unsupportive habits

To OPTIMISE long-term sustainability is the goal...

Reinforcing “Body Work” via strengthening and re-learning basic function to re-establish proper supportive action (biomechanics), is a MUST, at least a highly recommend! Here enters Yoga for Health!

And conversely, physical activity, exercise and training and re-learning/establishing basic function, needs to be supported by an amazing Body Work...yes, like Bowen Therapy!

To find out how we taylor and combine Yoga Philosophy and Practice into your Sessions please contact us, click, message or feel free to go “old school” and call.

See also my FB page and follow for notifications and updates. And intermittently I will also schedule intensive courses, for small groups only.
