pause I relax I breathe
In 2004 Sonya Watts began offering massage therapy in Moruya, and in 2010 Katrina Nicholls joined the business. Since that time the business has evolved into coco calm.
We wanted a space where you can step outside of your busy, stressful life and stop for a moment to relax and address some of the tension in your body. A space where you can breathe in the fresh air, calm the mind and the muscles.
The tranquil setting here on Congo Rd, the beautiful gardens and the professional skills of Sonya and Katrina will help you create your calm. We offer remedial and relaxation massage, as well as body products, candles, and herbal teas available to purchase.
Meet the sisters, mothers, professional women devoted to:
I started my career as a registered nurse, and then in 1990 completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage while working at a Private hospital in Sydney providing massage and hydrotherapy in the physiotherapy department.
In 1993 I travelled to the USA where I worked and studied at various health institutes to attain qualifications in hydrotherapy and lifestyle medicine. On returning to Sydney I began working for myself as a Remedial Massage therapist. Since then I have completed a Diploma in Sports Injury Therapies, and certificates in Deep Muscle, Tendon and Ligament Therapy, as well as Day Spa Therapies and Hot Stone Massage. In 2002 my family moved to Moruya and in 2004 I began offering Remedial Massage treatments at it's current location.
I am a member of ATMS (Australian Tradional Medicine Society). Some health funds offer a rebate, please check with me to see if your fund is one of them.
Apart from my interest in natural health I enjoy creativity, and am currently completing a Creative Journey Facilitators Training course. This will enable me to run workshops in the near future in visual journaling which is a fun and creative process to help you have more clarity. It's like creating your own map for life, without the need for any artistic skills!
Raised in a family commited to health and wellbeing, I went straight from formal schooling to nursing training at Sydney's largest and most prestigious hospital. Upon completing my degree qualification I worked in the private health industry before starting and nurturing my own family.
We moved to the South Coast recognising the importance of the environment to the ongoing support of mind, body and spirit. Looking to take these passions beyond the clinical and into the personal spheres of our community, I took the next best step, acheiving qualifications to became a massage therapist.
I am driven to enable my clients to become the best version of themselves through proven methods of self-care,massage, nutrition integrity, supported movement and human connection.
I believe good health begins in the mind, is supported by the gut, authenticated in the spirt and manifests in the life. Ours is a holistic approach.
