Stress Management

The feeling of stress comes from tension caused by situations or thoughts that cause you to feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. In many cases, stress results from the body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. 

Stress can be positive in short bursts, such as when it keeps you out of danger or keeps you on track. However, when prolonged, it can compromise mental and physical health.

In situations where you can’t change the situation, these emotion-focused strategies are useful. They minimise, reduce, or prevent the stressors that lead to emotional difficulties. Some of these techniques include:

  • Meditation
  • Mindfulness
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Seeking emotional support
  • Positive reappraisal
  • Finding a short-term distraction

Using Deeper Potential’s programs, you will learn how to handle the emotional stressors associated with the stressors by using emotion-focused strategies. As the difficult emotions become more tolerable, appraisal and problem-focused strategies can often be more effective. 

Combining strategies to manage stress involves getting to know you, helping you identify causes of stress across key life areas, and in turn help you develop positive coping skills.

Unwind to De-stress Program

This 8-week tailor-made program is for those stress-ridden individuals who want a better way to handle stress. You will learn a variety of life-changing techniques for calming the mind and body and channelling your energy into addressing important life areas.

You can attend Unwind to De-Stress via Zoom or in-person and receive strategies, activities, and resources that will help you manage your stress.

The program includes: 

  • 8 x 1-hour stress management coaching sessions either online or in person.
  • Learn life-changing tools and strategies to apply in your everyday life.
  • Theoretical and practical advice for navigating the journey.
  • Guided relaxation techniques.
  • A summary of each session’s breakthroughs.
