Eat Play Thrive ‘Low Carb High Fat’ dietitian, Vicky Kuriel is focused on making it easy for you to live a low carb lifestyle, putting in place the foundations for you to be lean, happy and healthy.



What does Vicky promote and believe in?

Real food! If you’re able to look at what you’re eating and clearly identify what it is, chances are it’s good for you, e.g. a chicken drumstick. If you can’t identify it, our suggestion is, “don’t eat it,” e.g. a chicken nugget!

“Paleo-like”

Although not strictly ‘Paleo’ we follow and recommend many of the principles, including eating a clean diet full of natural, whole foods as close to their original state as possible.



Low Carbohydrate High Fat (LCHF) Lifestyle

The LCHF lifestyle is the path to take if you want to eat tasty, filling, satisfying food AND enhance your energy levels, loseweight, improve your health, prevent lifestyle-oriented diseases and feel fabulous!

Low Carbohydrate High Fat Lifestyle is NOT a fad or a diet, LCHF is a way of life. It is the way of life our ancestors followed, reaping the rewards of living lean, happy and energised lives – you can too.

Although not strictly ‘Paleo,’ we follow and endorse many of the Paleo principles, including a diet full of natural, whole foods that are as close to their original state as possible.



S.L.O.W – Seasonal – Local – Organic – Wholefoods

Although this is not always feasible, it’s a great concept to keep in mind and follow as closely as you can.

Nutritionist Vicky’s beliefs, recommendations and protocols may be contrary to the Australian Dietary guidelines and the ‘accepted’ norm, but they haven’t been thrown together on a whim. Vicky has spent years studying and working in the health, fitness and nutrition industry. Her research is on-going and is integral to her practice. She stands firm on the LCHF, wholefood, unprocessed, clean lifestyle recommendations… and loves sharing her passion for this way of life.

A qualified Dietitian, you can be sure that everything Vicky recommends has its foundation in science, physiology and the latest research. Her sixteen years of industry experience includes tried-and-tested strategies to ensure you meet your goals.



Nutrition Services

Eat Play Thrive offers a range of Nutrition services to help you to achieve your goals:



Individual consultations 

Your initial consultation will involve the Dietician familiarising themselves with your current health and lifestyle goals. Vicky spends an hour, either face-to-face or via skype, discussing the various facets of your life (social, medical, emotional and physical) so she can develop a targeted, personalised food and lifestyle plan for you. This will result in an action plan to get you started immediately. You will also have 12-weeks access to our password-protected website which has stacks of additional information, recipes, meal plans, videos etc. You will also have access to our private forum, enabling you to ask questions and ensuring you move forward at all times.



Workshops

Our wonderful new clinic at 261 Waverley Rd, Malvern East has an awesome space for us to run consistent workshops on a variety of fitness, health and nutrition topics. Our workshops are full of useful information whilst at the same time being extremely practical, leaving you with tools you can take home and apply instantly.
