MASSAGE THERAPY  including Relaxation, Deep Tissue and Pregnancy Massage. The skilled use of therapeutic manipulation of soft tissue is used to encourage the release of muscular congestion and stimulate the flow of oxygen in the blood releasing toxins from the body. Various techniques are incorporated addressing individual health needs: pain and stress relief, improved circulation and relaxation. Massage soothes the nervous system, and is an enjoyable way to help maintain health and wellbeing.

How massage can help you: relieves muscular tension, spasms and pain, including headaches; improves flexibility, reduces excessive scar tissue formation, eliminates lactic acid and other toxins, aids lymphatic drainage, and relaxation.

FOOT MOBILISATION therapy (FMT) is a gentle method of manual therapy that helps relieve restricions and pain in the feet / ankles. FMT can loosen tight muscles / ligaments and increase space within a joint capsule, improving mobility within a joint, whilst decreasing pain, swelling and stiffness.

FMT involoves the use of repetitive passive movement, along with corrective exercises, to stimulate the body’s natural repair system, helping to restore mobility and function of the feet, and other associated parts of the body.

How Foot Mobilisation can help you: relieves painful, aching feet; increases foot and ankle mobility in stiff joints, stimulates circulation and helps improve the discomfort of conditions such as: plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammer/claw toes, flat feet, ankle instability and arthritis.

REFLEXOLOGY is based on the principle that precise reflex areas on the hands, feet and ears (Auriculotherapy) correspond to all parts of the body. By applying specific pressure techniques on these reflex points, a therapeutic effect occurs in the corresponding area of the body, stimulating the body’s internal healing process, helping you achieve physical and emotional wellbeing.

Reflexology is a holistic non-invasive therapy, complementing other therapies and modern medicine, encouraging the body to help itself in a deeply relaxing way.

How Reflexology can help you: by improving blood and nerve supply; relieving stress and tension; aiding rehabilitation; reducing excessive scar tissue formation and swelling; improving mobility, improving digestive disturbances; reducing anxiety, insomnia, arthritis, oedema, high blood pressure, sinusitis, T.M.J. disorder, asthma, reducing fatigue, and strengthening the immune system.

AURICULOTHERAPY is a therapeutic modality in which stimulation to specific parts of the external ear (auricle) may alleviate conditions affecting other parts of the body. There are nearly 250 accupressure points on each ear that are either anatomically related, or work as functional points. Auriculotherapy can be used as a stand-alone therapy or as a powerful adjunct with other modalities.

How Auriculotherapy can help you:

relieving stress and tension; improving digestive disturbances; reducing anxiety and depression, insomnia, high blood pressure, sinusitis, T.M.J. disorder, asthma, reducing fatigue, vertigo, reducing acute and chronic pain and strengthening the immune system.

Initial consultation will include an evaluation of your health history. It is therefore recommended to have a minimum consultation time of 60 minutes (but ideally 75 minutes) to ensure sufficient treatment time.

Post-operative treatments, specialising in foot / ankle recovery, can be highly beneficial to improve healing after surgery and reduce some of the common after-effects, such as:

  • Discomfort and Pain
  • Swelling
  • Stiffness in the joints
  • Scar tissue

These treatments can be helpful for patients recovering from foot and ankle surgical procedures eg. bunion surgery, arthritis & sports injuries.  Various techniques and methods are incorporated to best support you. Treatment is, however, customised to your specific needs and preferences, with your particular state of comfort in mind.

Please allow 24 hours notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel any appointment to avoid cancellation charges.
