ABOUT

Empowering Uniqueness is about providing children, young people and adults with the opportunities to grow in their own unique way, supporting them to make choices and changes their way. I believe that people are happier and more confident at their best when they are empowered and take responsibility for their choices.

For over 12 years now I have been helping individuals believe in themselves and find that they have their own inner power to achieve, and know that everyone is worth something. The biggest thing I get them to fight for is themselves and to know they have the power and that we are all unique and worth something. I have worked with a diversity of people from, youth, adults and children.

About me, as most people would say “it hard to write about yourself.”

What to I say? What do people want to hear or know about me?

Therefore I will start with saying, growing up I have always wanted to work in the field of helping individuals. I studied first after leaving school in nursing and did that for 6 years.

Before studying pharmacy and working for awhile. In addition i was a nanny before starting my own family.

Skip 10 years, I started working with youth and individuals helping them find their own power and that they are someone in this world. ( Relating to gender identity individuals transitioning, bullying, problems at home, relationships, mental health, disability, suicide and rape.)

Thus that is why my business is called Empowering Uniqueness.
Empowering meaning: “having qualities that give a person or group of people the means to take Back more control of their lives and become stronger and more independent.” Uniqueness meaning: “the quality of being one of a kind. The quality of being individual.”
I thus studied Diploma in Community Services (case management) And straight after studied Diploma in Counselling.

And still to this day I'm learning and studying as I feel we can always learn new things every day.

I have high morals for my work and behaviours and hold to them even in difficult situations. I’m open and honest in my communications and actions, by choosing words that are sincere and not misleading to my clients and having an environment that makes my clients feel comfortable. This enables us to build trust that allows information, feedback and ideas to flow.

counselling is Supported on the idea that by listening and acknowledging a client, giving them skills, resources, authority, opportunity, motivation, they will feel a greater senses of their own personal power.

I believe we are all unique individuals. I value honesty, finding your path and individual differences and believe with guidance and confidence people can empower themselves. And sometimes in life we lose our inner power, due to difficulties/circumstances or a change happening in our lives and it’s my passion to help people regain the inner power back in their lives.

FEES

• Children ( ages up to 12yrs )   $50 for a 60mins session


• Adults   $60 for a 60mins session


• Concession   $50 for a 60 mins session


• Skype sessions.   $60 for a 60 mins session - Paid through PayPal

All rates can be paid through PayPal (paid infull before session) or pay in cash at office
