Essential Wellness Studio
Information about my business
Essential Wellness Studio is a holistic health clinic based in Rivervale, Perth that offers clients a wide variety of services under the one roof, from naturopathy to Contemporary Pilates to personal training and remedial massage. Our core philosophy is that the treatment of health problems involves more than just treating the problem itself – it is about identifying and treating all of the underlying factors that contributed to the problem in the first place. Our aim is to not only improve the health outcomes for all of our clients, but to help them better appreciate why their bodies function the way they do so that they are better equipped to face health challenges as they arise.
My name is Angelina Boccardo and I am a Wellness Coach at Essential Wellness Studio. I have extensive experience in a number of modalities and am passionate about helping people become healthier, happier versions of themselves.
In 1994, I became qualified in remedial massage and worked as a masseuse for a of years. At this time, I began studying naturopathy, but my life soon took a different turn.
In 2001, I opened up a store with my husband in the liquor industry. This was a major turning point in my life. Within a year, I felt that I needed to do something for myself and so took up cardio and weight training. The early years of the business were very challenging financially and personally. I honestly feel that exercise is what got me through it all. Not only did I feel more energised, but I was able to think clearly and make better life decisions.
After selling the business in 2010, I decided to return to what I was truly passionate about. In 2012, I became a qualified personal trainer. I have continued to build upon my passion for healthy living by going on to gain qualifications in Contemporary Pilates and more recently, Naturopathy.
Now that I am in my early fifties with two adult children, I am fortunate to have many years of life experience which helps me understand my clients and what stage they are at in their health journey.
I appreciate that the realities of life sometimes get in the way of our own goals, but I am here to help you in the best way possible. I believe that in order to help others, you need to help yourself first.
Naturopathic medicine is a holistic approach to wellness. This approach involves identifying the underlying causes or dysfunctions in a client and tailoring the treatment plan to address their individual needs. As a result, each treatment plan is different from one client to the next. With the use of nutrition, supplementation and herbal medicine, we can improve the body’s natural healing response and restore the body healthy function into balance or what Naturopaths call ‘homeostasis’.
My aim as a Naturopath is to help you achieve your personal goals, whatever they may be. Whether it is minimising the symptoms of illness, reducing stress, boosting energy, eliminating inflammation or managing weight issues, I am here to support your body’s capacity to heal so that you can lead a more productive, fulfilling life.
Some of the areas where naturopathy may help include:
- Metabolic syndrome and diabetes
- Hormonal issues (women and men)
- Thyroid conditions
- Skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis
- Digestive issues including constipation, bloating, diarrhoea
- Weight management
- Stress-related issues
- Anxiety and depression
- Sleep issues and chronic fatigue
- Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis
- Infant and children’s health
